About Us
The Japanese Earthquake Relief-Fund for Otakus (JERO) is a organization that exists to promote Japanese Culture and the ones that are influenced by all different types of Japanese Animation. JERO has various events throught the year that is used achieve this goal. These events thrive on the motivation and discipline of all different types of otakus. We would also work in tandem with other organizations to help spread the word and the fundings to other organizations that genuinely offer their support to funds for relief from damages caused by earthquakes in Japan.
We as a group of voluteering otakus, we run this organization and plan events that others such as us feel most appealing. We have searched across the web for other non-profit organizations that we feel that we can become apart of. In the end, we put together the idea that we don't need to follow what other non profit organizations are doing. We can create our own, so we ask you "Are you ready to stand up for a cause?"
Our Perspective
We hope to be an organization that informs lives by becoming an necessary bridge betweeen relationship between Japanese Popular culture and culture throughout the world. By enjoying Japanese popular culture, like the majority of otakus do, we can do much more for Japan by building funds for a noble cause.
Just like how we buy cosplay items to attend a convention, or buying manga at our nearest bookstore, we can provide more without paying anything. By just attending the event, or even recommending it to your friends as they come and watch the videos. With this we can expand our cause and make a big difference.
Our Mission
Our mission as a non-profit organization (NPO) called Japan Earthquake Relief-Fund Otaku-Edition (JERO) is to create a place where Otakus can come together to watch videos and donate to help the Japan in their time of need. We strive to build a community of Otakus that can be in one place and donate whatever they can, not only by investing in merchandise but to give some of their time to provide more aid to Japan.
